Righting space
To right something is to make it better…
I’ve been calling myself a writer all my life. And I do write, every day. In a journal most mornings (lists, rants, things I want to remember…) and for work (research pieces, meeting notes, project evaluations). I dream of writing even more though, and I plan to try that out here.
I work as a research analyst, and I also have a well developed creative side. I’m a curious creature - I love learning new things and exploring new ground (literal and metaphorical).
I have an idea for here that I will ‘write the seasons’ where I am, in the North of Ireland, sharing my reflections on how it feels to (try to) live seasonally and what that means to me.
Why ‘righting space’? A few reasons:
I write to ‘right’ myself, to steady my mind and balance my emotions;
I write with the hope of making things better, whether that’s a project I’m working on or a recipe;
For someone who calls themself a writer, I’m not very good at spelling…
I’m excited to begin and to see where this path might lead.
